I am sure you will agree, golf can be so frustrating, especially when you have been playing a reasonable game for many years, then suddenly everything starts to go wrong- you cannot even manage a decent drive, your fairway shots are pretty miserable and as for your chipping (I would rather not talk about it).

The great thing about Barry’s teaching is the different level it is pitched at depending on your ability and needs. His approach to me as a golfer of many years with a single figure handicap can be quite technical which is fine for me. On the other hand he has taught my 15-year-old daughter from a raw beginner aged 8 in much less technical environments. He has been terrific in keeping things simple and above all fun which is just what she needs to keep her going.

I have had a number of lessons from Barry over the years and have found these lessons enjoyable, rewarding and of great benefit.
Barry can take, as in my case, a pretty poor swing and through his video teaching technique show the points of the swing that if improved would bring about better results. He breaks these improvements down into individual teaching and practise sessions so that the student is able to concentrate on one improvement at a time. When he and the student are satisfied he then moves onto the next session and so on until the task is complete.
Hi teaching philosophy is one of building the improvement into the student’s natural game. He promotes lessons and practise but encourages his students to forget trying it on the course it will come naturally through his techniques.
Barry’s skills, other than the obvious golfing ability, lie in the analysis and communication of the improvement needs and the use of the video equipment to demonstrate visually the weakness and then he is able to show visually the improvements needed and achieved.
Barry has definitely provided me with the ability to get more enjoyment from the game by teaching me the swing techniques and also improving my mental approach to the game.

Barry started giving me lessons over 10 years ago; I found his knowledge of the game and different kind of shots, and be it a draw, fade of the more difficult 25-yard lob, second to none.
He has a certain je ne sais quoi which puts his pupils well at ease, be they Senior or 12 Year old.
If you have a problem take it to Barry, he will sort it.
